The short version. LiftingView is free. Your data lives only on your phone, so keep that in mind before you uninstall. The app tracks your training; it does not tell you what is safe for your body.
1. Who provides the app
LiftingView is provided by Lukas Bartak-Petry, Peter-Wust-Straße 18, 54295 Trier, Germany (Mr-Brogrammer@outlook.com). The full legal notice is in the Impressum. These terms apply whenever you use the app.
2. Using the app
The app is free of charge and needs no account. You may install it and use it for your own training. You may not sell or redistribute it, or use it in a way that breaks the law. How the app handles your data is described in the privacy policy.
3. Your data is on your phone
Everything you log is stored only on your phone (see the privacy policy). There is no account, cloud copy or export, so the developer cannot restore anything for you. Uninstalling the app, clearing its storage or losing your phone deletes your data, unless Android's own backup to your Google account has kept a copy.
4. Health and safety
LiftingView records what you lift; it is not medical or training advice and does not judge whether a weight, exercise or rest is right for you. Train within your limits, use good technique and a spotter where appropriate, and talk to a doctor before starting or changing a training programme, especially if you have a health condition or an injury. Stop if something hurts.
5. Availability and changes
The app is offered as it is and may change: features can be added, changed or removed with an update, and the app may be withdrawn. There is no entitlement to any particular feature or to continued availability.
6. Liability
The developer is liable without limitation for damage caused intentionally or by gross negligence, for injury to life, body or health, and under the German Product Liability Act (Produkthaftungsgesetz). Because the app is provided free of charge, liability for simple negligence is otherwise excluded, as far as the law permits.
7. Google Play
The app is distributed through Google Play. Downloading and updating it is also subject to Google Play's terms of service.
8. Changes to these terms
If these terms change, the new version is published on this page with a new date at the top.
9. Applicable law
These terms are governed by German law. If you use the app as a consumer, this does not take away the protection of mandatory consumer law in the country where you live.
